About The United Arc

Mission Statement

The United Arc supports people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving the universal goals of inclusion, choice, and independence.

Vision Statement

The United Arc affirms that all people are valued and interdependent and that each person deserves opportunities and support to pursue individual goals and achieve maximum potential. We envision a society that respects, includes and promotes the contributions of all community members.

State and National Affiliation

The United Arc is an affiliated chapter of The Arc of Massachusetts and The Arc of the United States. The state and national organizations maintain ongoing communication with the Arc membership about legislative and budget concerns that impact individuals with disabilities and their families.

  • Caregivers' Resource GroupEvery 3rd Wednesday

    361 Main Street, Athol
    Every 3rd Wednesday
    6:00pm - 8:00pm

    Come socialize with other caregivers and help support each other through all of the ins and outs of being a caregiver or parent to a person with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Join us to discuss ideas and gain valuable resources.

    We added a daytime meeting to accommodate those who may want an additional meeting time or who cannot make it during the evening. You may join us for one or both monthly sessions! Refreshments will be provided.

    No RSVP is required, but it is helpful for planning purposes. RSVP's can be made to Karon Parker at (978)249-4052 ext.1047
