Direct Support Professional – Third Shift/Full Time – The United Arc, headquartered in Turners Falls, Massachusetts, which provides services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden and Worcester Counties of Massachusetts, is seeking dynamic and team-oriented individuals to provide services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential living situations. Staff in these positions will assist the individuals we serve to have as much control as possible over his/her home, provide assistance in various areas including health maintenance, money management, shopping, cooking, ADL skills, socialization, establishing meaningful relationships and community involvement. This is the perfect job for you if you are a parent that needs to be home during the day for remote learning and/or childcare, or if you are a college student enrolled in daytime classes. Available shifts: Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM Thursday through Saturday, 11:00 PM – 9:00 AM Minimum Qualifications:
· Associates degree or high school diploma / GED or equivalent years of relevant experience.
· One year relevant experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or in human services.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Acceptable driving record, valid driver’s license and access to an automobile that can be used to transport individuals.
· Acceptable CORI and fingerprint check required. Minimum Qualifications:
Job Description: The United Arc is seeking a dynamic, team-oriented individual to provide its clinical services. Primarily responsible for providing clinical services for the individuals and families we serve. Preparation and implementation of behavior plans, clinical assessments and services, participating in critical psychiatric appointments, attending required individual and team meetings, and providing training and support for staff, individuals, and caregivers.
