A woman of many talents and interests, with a smile that will warm your heart. Tanya has been involved with The United Arc since she was five years old and over the years she has blossomed from shy to confident. She is an artist, musician, singer, avid reader, caring friend, loving family member and active participant in several social clubs hosted by the organization, including Pioneer Club, Friends in Common, Fine Arts Club and the Adventure Club.
She Honors Our Troops
Tanya wears red every Friday to honor the troops that fight for our country. She has a family friend, "Arie", that lost his life in Afghanistan, so she especially tries to honor him. Tanya attends church at the Leyden United Methodist church every Sunday and after church she heads over to Arie's mom's house for a visit and some scrumptious "Arie's Coffeecake".
She is an artist
Tanya spends time every day painting and drawing. Her favorite medium is paint on canvas. Tanya has donated some of her works of art for our Annual Gala & Auction. Nature is her favorite thing and blue is her favorite color. She created her 'Heart Flowers' after reading Beauty and the Beast.
She is a musician and loves to sing and dance
Tanya loves to sing, especially Katie Perry songs. Her favorite is Firework. Tanya enthusiastically takes the mic on Karaoke night and enjoys dancing with her friends at all the parties. When Tanya was in school, she learned to play keyboard, drums and guitar. Playing the drums continues to be her favorite.
But, Tanya especially cherishes spending time with family and friends
